Located on the shore of Otsego Lake, the Alice Busch Opera Theater opened in 1987. The theater is on 43 acres of farmland that was donated by the late Glimmerglass Board Chairman Emeritus Tom Goodyear. None of the theater's 914 seats are farther than 70 feet from the stage, providing an inmate layout and an integral part of The Glimmerglass Experience.
